Around the Boat
Description:
Around the Boat is an incredible act, whether single or a whole flock of skiers. In this act, a skier on one ski follows the boat at a very high speed. The boat veers sharply one direction, and then 180 degrees back in the other direction. The first turn pushes the skier out far to one side, ropes tight. The second turn results in the skier passing the front of the boat, and then the teamwork of the skier and boat driver and their combined skill bring the skier and boat back into line to thunderous applause.
Skills Needed:
ATB requires the skier to be able to deep water start on one ski, strong skiing ability on one ski, to bee strong enough to cut their ski hard outside the wake, and a fearlessness.
Equipment Needed:
ATB skiers are recommended to have a barefoot suit.
