Membership Kickoff Barbeque – Saturday, May 7

Please join us at Jefferson Point (note the new location this year, not Windjammer) for the kickoff to the summer season for the Lake Saint Louis Ski Club on Saturday, May 7 at 5pm.  We will hold a brief informational meeting.  The Freeze Out Band, made up of many of our own LSL Ski Club members, will provide music for the evening.  Hot dogs, chips, and soda/water will be provided.  Feel free to bring any other beverage of choice.  Don’t miss the opportunity to kick off our 2016 ski season, by seeing old friends, meeting new ski club members, and hearing all the exciting things happening with our club!

Mission Clean Stream – April 2 at Jefferson Point

Hope everyone had a great Easter! We need more volunteers for Clean Stream activity this Saturday. Please sign up at the volunteer sign up link if you can make it.

It is time for the first official ski club activity of the 2016 season! This is one of the volunteer activities focused on giving back to our community and counts for one of your volunteer requirements for this year to the club. It is suited for the entire family and has always provided our community and neighbors a small example of our volunteer efforts. Madison Dattilo has taken over this event from her dad Joe and is working with the City of Lake Saint Louis and has met with other clubs/organizations and our community for volunteers as well. The Anglers, Ambassadors, Environmental Green Advisory Board, and Wentzville High School’s National Honor Society will all be participating. The City of Lake Saint Louis continues to request our involvement and leadership in this activity and they recognize our club as a large and reliable partner. We have committed to provide at least 75 volunteers from our ski club alone.

Mission Clean Stream

We’ll be doing our part with hundreds of volunteers, The Greenway Network, Inc. and other cities in this major stream clean-up to help restore the Peruque, McCoy and Dardenne Creek Watersheds. These streams are important to the health of our communities, clubs and support a variety of wildlife. It is set for Saturday, April 11th.
Our watershed is Peruque Creek and will include cleaning the Jefferson Point area of trash and debris.

When: Saturday April 2
Time: 8:30am, usually take 2-2.5 hours with a group photo at 8:50 to start
Where: Meet at Jefferson Point. We are responsible for the area between pump station on the service road to the lake at our ski site and the creek behind the strip mall where Newstime office is located feeding into the big lake. We will also be tasked with two small sites in Lake Saint Louis like last year.
Breakfast: Bagels, donuts, fruit, water, juice provided

Wear appropriate clothing and shoes as you will be walking through brush, weeds and tall grass. Don’t forget gloves and red shirts or sweatshirts for club pride.
