Rain and storms caused the first Home Show Mandatory practice to be postponed, but it did not affect the appetites of our skiers and their families! A large crowd huddled under the pavilion and devoured 35 pounds of taco meat and a variety of toppings. Home Show Coordinator Jim Mondl gave an excellent overview of what the Home Show will be like to all families as well. Final Mandatory is scheduled for Thursday, June 28. Please arrive at 5pm to get set up so we can have our first tight line behind a boat at 5:30pm and perform as many acts as possible before dusk. Food will be available, courtesy of Angie Hopping and her minions, after skiing is over.
For this practice, please ensure that you and your family properly dispose of any trash you have from your meal. There was a large amount of plates, boats, napkins, and cans/bottles left behind last night that the committee had to clean up.
Don't miss our annual 4th of July Lake St. Louis Water Ski home shows at Jefferson Point, on the Highway 40 end of Lake St. Louis. You will see acts ranging from our youngest skiers Knee Boarding, to Around the Boat, Ballet lines, Pyramids, Barefooters, Jumpers and the famous Men's Line. The theme this year is Aliens and Outerspace!
This year's Home Shows are scheduled for Saturday, June 30 (rain date of Sunday, July 1) and again on Wednesday, July 4. Shows begin at 9:00 AM and last approximately four hours in order to give everyone a chance to show their skills!
We will have food for purchase. Bring the whole family for a morning of entertainment. Bleacher seating is available but feel free to bring blankets and lawn chairs. Gates will be open and parking is limited, so plan accordingly.
It is an event like no other in the area so plan to join us!
Arch Rivals will also be putting on three community night shows as they prepare for regional and national competition. Come watch the Arch Rivals competition show ski team perform their one hour show. Their show is a fitness challenge between the men and the women. Food will be available for purchase and additional entertainment will follow the ski shows.
